A teenager has been charged with murder in the fatal beating of a 60-year-old man during a Christmas Eve mugging in the Bronx, authorities said.

Abu Conteh, 18, of the Bronx, was arraigned Tuesday on charges of murder, manslaughter and gang assault in the killing of  Juan Fresnada, of Morrisania, who was set upon by three assailants who stole $1 from him after pummeling him with punches and kicks, as well as a large trash can, according to police.

The NYPD has identified two other participants in the fatal attack, officials said, but no additional arrests have been announced.

Fresnada’s male partner was also attacked, but declined medical treatment, authorities said.

Conteh’s attorney could not immediately be reached for comment.
