A Bronx man has been arrested in connection with the discovery of a dead man found hog-died in a Fordham Heights apartment, officials said.

Charles Votaw, 37, is charged with assault, concealment of a human corpse, and tampering with evidence in the death of Jason Nieves, who was found inside a locked apartment at 2323 Creston Avenue, his body slashed and his ankles bound to his wrists with duct tape, officials said.

Nieves suffered slash wounds to his torso and wrists. It’s wasn’t immediately clear how he sustained the injuries, or what killed him.

Votaw lives in the building, officials said.

Authorities got a call about a foul door coming from inside the apartment about 2:30 p.m. Friday and, after removing the door, found the body inside, officials said.

The investigation is continuing and additional charges are possible, officials said.
