A Bronx man was accidentally shot and killed Tuesday by his cousin, who failed to realize the gun was loaded before pulling the trigger, police said.

Mohammed Touray, 18, handed the pistol to cousin Omar Touray, 21, about 2:45 p.m., having left a bullet in its chamber, according to the NYPD.

Mohammed had removed the gun’s ammunition magazine, leading Omar Touray to believe its chamber was also empty as the two examined the pistol.

They were inside Mohammed’s bedroom in his family’s Sheridan Avenue apartment, in Concourse Village, at the time.

Omar fired the gun, sending one bullet into his younger cousin’s chest, police said.

Paramedics rushed Mohammed to Lincoln Medical Center, where he died.

Omar Touray was charged with manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon, cops said. His lawyer could not immediately be reached for comment.
