Bronx Man Fatally Shot in University Heights

A 44-year-old man was found shot to death in the bedroom of his University Heights apartment Friday, police said.

Authorities discovered the victim, whose name has not been released, at the residence on Sedgwick Avenue shortly after 11 a.m. First-responders arrived in response to a 911 call, according to the NYPD.

The victim was shot in his head, authorities said, and pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. 

No arrests had been made as of Saturday afternoon.
