The NYPD on Wednesday arrested a man they say sexually assaulted a hospital patient as she lay comatose in her Bronx hospital bed.

Roberto Marcucci, 62, of Queens was charged with sex abuse after turning himself in to police, authorities said.

The 68-year-old female victim, who is in a coma, was not aware of the abuse, authorities said. It was reported by another patient in the room, who saw an attacker touching and kissing the unconscious woman about 3 p.m. Monday at Lincoln Hospital.

He fled when a nurse entered the room, police said.

Police released surveillance video of the man they say is Marcucci. He reached the woman’s room via the hospital elevator, having somehow gotten past building security, police said.

Attorney information for Marcucci was not immediately available.
