A Bronx judge on Friday ordered Ex-Congressman Anthony Weiner to register as a sex offender in New York State, officials said.
Bronx Supreme Court Justice Raymond Bruce ordered Weiner register as a level 1 sex offender – the lowest designation in the state sex offender registry – during a risk level assessment hearing, records show.
The former congressman and one-time mayoral front-runner has been living in a Bronx halfway house since his release form prison, where he served 15 months of a 21-month federal sentence for sexting an underage girl.
He is expected to be released from the Bronx facility in May.
Weiner previously waived his appearance and did not attend Friday’s hearing.
