Five city vehicles in the South Bronx are being equipped with state-of-the-art sensors developed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and will collect black-by-block data as they drive around the borough.
To gather data, researchers studied expecting mothers in Northern Manhattan and the Bronx, including many participants who self-identified as African American or Dominican.
