A 25-year-old man was fatally shot outside a Bronx club Saturday night, ending a bloody week that saw at least a dozen people shot in the borough, authorities said.
Oliver Askia suffered a fatal gunshot wound to his chest in front of Krystal Bar and Lounge on University Avenue in Morris Heights shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday, according to the NYPD.
He was rushed to Jacobi Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
A day earlier, a man was shot in his chest in Morrisania. And 10 people were shot in the Bronx over a nine-hour span Wednesday and Thursday, part of one of the most violent periods in the borough in years, authorities said.
