State investigators are probing dozens of incidents of alleged abuse, neglect, or violence at New York City’s youth jails amid the coronavirus pandemic, including a riot that broke out Sunday.
The Bronx youth jail is being used to house to all “symptomatic” child prisoners as part of the de Blasio administration’s consolidation plan.
The city worker, whose identity was not made public, works in the department’s Investigation Division at DOC headquarters in East Elmhurst.
