NYPD detectives are investigating the death of a woman found partially nude with traumatic injuries in Tremont, her corpse left inside a residential garbage can.
Police said they got a call about 8:30 a.m. Monday reporting an unconscious adult female. They arrived to find the unidentified woman dead, stripped of her pants and underwear, and discarded with residents’ trash behind 4464 Park Ave.
Her body showed signs of trauma, authorities said, but her death was not immediately deemed a homicide.
The city medical examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine how she died.
