Undocumented Immigrants in Bronx Now Eligible for Driver’s Licenses

Undocumented immigrants can obtain driver’s licenses in New York starting today under a new state law, officials said.

The Green Light NY Law makes New York the thirteenth state to grant licenses to residents who pass applicable driving tests, regardless of their immigration status.

The law is expected to impact about 700,000 undocumented New York immigrants.
