Homicide detectives on Wednesday charged a 21-year-old man in the killing of a Black transgender woman in the Bronx, authorities said.
Alpha Diallo, of Morris Heights, is charged with murder, manslaughter, and weapon possession in the July 26 stabbing of Tiffany Harris, 32, who Diallo allegedly killed in an apartment building roughly a mile from her home in Fordham Heights, according to the NYPD.
Paramedics rushed Harris to a nearby hospital but she could not be saved.
Additional information about Diallo, including whether he had an attorney, was not immediately released.
