A Bronx cab driver was killed by his own taxi while chasing a man who robbed him Sunday night, police said.

Mohammad Zafrullah, 65, exited his cab and ran after a customer who had just made off with his bag in Clason Point at about 11:45 p.m.

But he failed to put the taxi in park before getting out, according to the NYPD.

The vehicle struck and rolled over Zafrullah, police said. He was rushed to a local hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.

The robber who ran off has not been identified, and no arrests have been made. But he was captured on surveillance footage being distributed by police.

Anyone with information is asked to call NYPD Crime Stoppers at 80-577-TIPS.
