Homicide detectives are probing the death of a woman found dead inside her Bronx home with a plastic bag over her head, authorities said.

Teresita Rosario, 59, was found slain in her basement Saturday night. Police are searching for her 29-year-old son, who they have identified as a person of interest in the case.

Rosario had attempted to get immediate psychiatric help for her son shortly before police found her, but was refused, authorities said.

Anyone with information is asked to call NYPD Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
