Twelve people were injured and four were in critical condition following a fire that swept through the Justice Sonia Sotomayor Houses in Soundview Tuesday, authorities said.
The fire started shortly before 11 a.m. in the seven-story public housing complex on Watson Avenue, spreading to multiple apartments before firefighters knocked down the flames.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
