A staffer at Horizon Juvenile Center in the Bronx has tested positive for coronavirus, officials said.
The infected worker, a youth development specialist at the detention facility, is recovering. Information about their condition was not immediately available.
Horizon currently houses 22 teenage inmates, some as young as 16. The worker’s infection marks the latest incident of the contagion spreading within New York City’s correction system.
