Man Shot to Death Outside Bronx Playground

A man was fatally shot outside a playground in Foxhurst early Thursday morning, felled by multiple bullets to his chest, police said.

One or more shooters opened fire and struck Jamarr Vestal, 31, who was found wounded onĀ Hall Place near E. 165th St., a block from Horseshoe Playground, about 12:30 a.m., according to the NYPD.

Vestal, of Fordham Manor, was pronounced dead at Lincoln Medical Center.

No arrests had been made as of Thursday night. Anyone with information is asked to call NYPD Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
