A 36-year-old man Bronx was shot dead Saturday night – in front of his terrified wife – after he mistakenly flicked a cigarette in the direction of his soon-to-be killer, authorities said.

The unidentified gunman fired into Curtis Holley‘s stomach during an argument over the cigarette about 8:45 p.m., as the couple walked near Holley’s home on East 165th Street in Morrisania, according to police.

Holley was rushed to Lincoln Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead late Saturday.

No arrests had been announced in his homicide as of Sunday morning. Anyone with information is asked to call NYPD Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
