Man Stabbed on Bronx No. 2 Train

A straphanger was stabbed in his head during a fight with two riders on an uptown No. 2 train in the Bronx Friday, authorities said.

An argument began between the male victim and another man and woman on the train. It escalated and turned violent as the train passed through East Morrisania around 11:50 p.m., according to the NYPD.

The victim, who suffered a head wound, was taken to St. Barnabas hospital for treatment. He is expected to recover.

No arrests had been announced as of Saturday.
