Man Stabs Three, Kills Girlfriend in Bronx Spree

A man has been charged with murder for allegedly killing his girlfriend in Unionport Sunday night as part of a three-victim stabbing spree, police said.

Jean Carlos Jimenez, 29, first stabbed his brother and father at their Gleason Avenue home about 7:10 p.m., then traveled to Ellis Avenue where he fatally stabbed girlfriend Mercy Capacette, 29, in her apartment about 7:30 p.m., according to the NYPD.

Jimenez faces charges including murder, weapon possession, and assault. His attorney could not immediately be reached for comment.
