At least 21 members of the same Bronx church have died of COVID-19–victims of one of the deadliest  coronavirus clusters in New York City, authorities said Saturday.

St. Luke’s Church, the largest parish in the city’s Episcopal diocese, has been supplying food to hungry locals throughout the pandemic, helping to sustain families even as the virus ravages their communities.

St Luke’s, located in Olinville, mostly serves parishioners in the 10467 and 10469 zip codes; areas which have recorded some of the highest coronavirus death rates in the five boroughs.

News of the church members’ deaths was first reported by NY1.
