Mother of Three Fatally Shot in Melrose

A 25-year-old mother of three was fatally shot Saturday morning by a gunman who sprayed a Melrose street with bullets, authorities said.

At least one round struck Priscilla Vasquez in the back of her head as she stood with friends outside a school on East 152nd Street near Courtlandt Avenue about 5 a.m., according to police.

Detectives are hunting Vasquez’s killer, who was caught on surveillance footage committing the homicide.
