A 36-year-old motorcyclist was killed when he collided with a light pole on the Major Deegan Expressway Thursday.
The motorcyclist, whose name was not made public, was riding at a high rate of speed between exits 47 and 48, shortly after 6 a.m., when he lost control and struck the pole, according to police.
He died at the scene.
