One Dead in Double Shooting in Melrose

A man was killed in a double shooting in Melrose Monday afternoon, police said.

The 31-year-old gunshot victim died at the scene from wounds to his head and leg, while a 32-year-old man survived a gunshot wound to his leg, according to the NYPD. He was hospitalized and listed in in serious condition Monday.

Authorities are searching for a white Mercedes-Benz that fled the scene at East 157th Street and Elton Avenue, possibly after someone fired shots from the vehicle.
