Police are searching for a man who ran over his ex-wife with a car before slashing her to death with a machete Thursday, authorities said.
Noelia Mateo, 58, suffered terminal injuries in the attack on Ellsworth Avenue in Throggs Neck. She died at Jacobi Medical Center.
Her alleged killer, Victor Mateo, 63, slashed her to death in front of her grandchildren after running her down, police said.
