The White House on Friday said some Americans will receive their $1,400 stimulus checks this weekend—via direct deposit—with more funds arriving in bank accounts in the weeks ahead.
The checks are part of the $1.9 billion trillion COVID stimulus bill President Joe Biden signed into law Thursday.
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said Friday the Internal Revenue Service is “building on lessons learned from previous rounds to increase the number of households that will get electronic payments, which are substantially faster than checks.”
