Detectives are searching for two attackers involved in the shooting of a 19-year-old man at his Bronx home, authorities said.
The duo showed up at the victim’s front door about 5 a.m. on Feb. 1, knocking and kicking it until he opened up, according to the NYPD.
When the victim told the pair they had the wrong house, a fight broke out between them at the residence at Waldo Avenue and 238th Street, police said.
One of the men pulled out a gun and opened fire, shooting the teen in his torso before fleeing, police said.
The victim was treated at St. Barnabas Hospital and is expected to recover.
The shooting happened in the confines of the 50th Precinct, statistically the safest in the Bronx.
Anyone with information about the attackers, whose images were caught on video, is asked to call NYPD Crime Stoppers at 800-578-TIPS.
