Ten people were shot in the Bronx over a nine-hour span Wednesday and Thursday, marking one of the most violent periods in the borough in years, authorities said.
The worst of the gunplay took place about 4 p.m. in Melrose where five people were shot, including a 10-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy.
The violence continued shortly before 1 a.m. in Pelham Bay, where a man and women were shot as they sat in a car early Thanksgiving Day.
