Twin Bronx infants were found dead inside a sweltering car in Kingsbridge Friday after their father forgot them inside, leading police to charge him with criminally negligent homicide, according to the NYPD.

Juan Rodriguez, 39, also faces manslaughter charges in the deaths of Luna Rodriguez and his sister Phoenix.

Rodriguez, a social worker, told investigators he left the infants in the backseat of his Honda Accord while he went to his job at James J. Peters Department of Veterans Affairs Medical CenterĀ in Kingsbridge.

The siblings were inside with the windows closed for more than eight hours before Rodriguez realized his mistake, police said.

Paramedics found the babies lifeless and foaming at the mouth. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
