Two men were stabbed to death in the Bronx Saturday, part of another violent weekend in the borough, police said.

The first attack happened shortly after 9 p.m. at a deli in the 2600 block of Third Avenue in Mott Haven, where two men were stabbed, according to police.

One of them, Shawn Elliot, 49, died from stab wounds to his torso, according to the NYPD. Police took a 38-year-old man into custody in connection with the attack, and charges against him were pending Sunday.

In the second fatal stabbing, about two hours later,  a 40-year-old man was found knifed to death in Melrose, authorities said. No arrests have been announced in that case.

Anyone with information is asked to call NYPD Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
