Two men were shot in an ambush outside a Mott Haven Bar Friday night, authorities said.
The victims were approached by two assailants about 6 p.m. outside the El Rey Bar & Lounge on Brook Avenue near East 139th Street. One of the men opened fire, sending multiple rounds flying toward the targets, according to the NYPD.
The gunshot victims, both in their early 40s, suffered serious wounds but are expected to recover.
No arrests have been made. Anyone with information is asked to call NYPD Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
