Bronx Cop Charged With Assaulting His Toddler Son

A Bronx NYPD officer was arrested in the borough Thursday for allegedly hitting his toddler son, authorities said.

Freddy Difo, 29, is charged with assault and acting in a manner injurious to a child, according to the NYPD.

The attack happened about 5 p.m. in the confines of  52nd Precinct, while Difo was off duty, authorities said.

The investigation remains ongoing, according to the department.
