Man Fatally Shot in Bronx Building Lobby

A 43-year-old man was shot and killed inside the lobby of his apartment building in Wakefield Monday, authorities said.

Shameek Lilly, who lived with his family at the White Plains Road address, was carrying groceries home from a food store when he was shot in his chest shortly after 9 p.m.

Lilly was rushed to Montefiore Medical Center, where doctors pronounced him dead.

No arrests had been announced as of Tuesday afternoon.
