Striking Workers Arrested at Hunts Point Market Amid Large Police Operation

Six striking workers at Hunts Point Produce Market were arrested Tuesday by the NYPD, during a large operation involving dozens of cops, video of the bust shows.

The picketing members of Teamsters local 202, who are on strike over management’s failure to increase pay by $1 for employees amid a pandemic that has killed over 400,000 Americans, were taken into custody around midnight and issued summonses for disorderly conduct.

The swarm of armored cops descended on the laborers after they allegedly obstructed vehicle traffic while picketing.

All have been assigned future court dates to answer the criminal charges.
